These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Side Eye Chrome extension (“Extension”) and the website at getsideeye.com, provided by Kei Sakai (“we”, “us”).
Acceptance
By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
What Side Eye is
Side Eye is a browser interface for AI models you run yourself (for example LM Studio or Ollama). We do not provide model inference, hosting, or cloud chat services. Output quality, availability, and compliance of third-party models and servers are your responsibility.
Your responsibilities
- You must comply with applicable laws and the terms of sites you browse and models you use.
- Do not use the Extension to process sensitive data you are not authorized to handle.
- You are responsible for securing your machine, local AI servers, and any API keys you enter.
- Use the privacy ignore list and page-context toggle to control what page content is read.

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUTS, UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION.
Third-party services
The Extension may interoperate with third-party software and sites (for example Ollama, LM Studio, Hugging Face for optional TTS models). Those services have their own terms and privacy practices.
Changes and termination
We may update the Extension or these Terms. We may discontinue the Extension at any time. You may stop using it by uninstalling from Chrome.
